Welcome to the coffee converters website! What is the the coffee converters? It is a concept born out of an idea generation course undertaken at The Rubicon Centre on the Cork IT Campus which encouraged us to think about things in a different way.
I chose to look at waste coffee!
Why? - It is a clean waste, is plentiful both in Ireland and all around the world. And maybe, there is something useful in it!
Currently there are no plans to collect waste coffee but we are looking into testing some samples.
Coffee is an organic product used all around the globe but what uses has it after you have drank your cup of coffee? Like most people, you probably just dump it!! But maybe, it can be re-used...
We all know a little about composting food waste these days. Well, I can tell you coffee waste has its part to play. What we now intend to do is some scientific research into waste coffee with the assistance of Cork Institute of Technology.
